I don't believe that this tripple-loop reactor will be the basic one for electricity generation even in the next 50 years. Please see below the current data on all power reactors of the world: Currently, we have 435 operating power reactors: PWRs - 267; BWRs - 84 (after *****ushima, I think that very few will be built); CANDU-type - 51; CO2-cooled 17 (but all of them will be shut down within 5-10 years); RBMKs and EGPs - 15 (but all of them will be shut down within 10-15 years); and BN-600 - 1. Therefore, electricity will be produced mainly by PWRs, BWRs and CANDUs after 10-15 years with increasing numbers of PWRs. Also, Gen IV concepts are really different types of reactors. All of of them are actually high-temperature reactors with increased k.p.d.!
