I am participating in Gen IV for 12 years, attended many conferences and high rank meetings, therefore, know something about GEN IV and INPRO.
My general comment is that, unfortunately, all economical calculations are very inaccurate, sometimes politically motivated, therefore, to discuss how economical it will be absolutely no reason. Let's build first and put into operation and after that time will show.
Please look at the example of AREVA EPR in Finland, great reactor, the largest in the world (1600 MWel), updated design, highest k.p.d. up to 38% from all water-cooled reactors, proven company, proven calculated profit, and in the first several years of construction - 2 years behind schedule and $2 biilion above the original price of $6 billion! Hopefully, will be put into operation next year!
